Re-launched on May 01, 2022, with 12 instead of 22 pieces.
Encountering shelters when roaming the outdoors always left me fascinated by the story they inherit within themselves and their surroundings. The story of being able, as humans, to survive in the roughest environments. The story of cozy nights inside, sheltered from the storm outside. The story of triumphs and hardships. The story of needing what is just necessary. But also the story of our urge to tame nature.
Shelter is a 12-pieces collection of 1/1 photographs portraying 11 different shelters in Iceland, Austria, Italy, and Scotland. All Photographs are taken and processed by me. There are no composites or photo collages, some pictures have been retouched. All shelters are real and can be visited.
The first collector receives the owned picture additionally as a print. After the collection is sold out, three more collectors will receive their owned pictures as prints.
That Cloud, That Rain, That Wave, That Mist
0.55 ETH reserve price // Edition 1/1
That Cloud, That Rain, That Wave, That Mist. When I read this quote in a book last year, I instantly connected with these words. Since then they were stuck in my head and I knew I had to create something around them. Eventually, I put thought into practice. The music came first, the connection with this particular picture followed. In the end, atmosphere is the most important thing for me when it comes to art – and I wanted to do justice to the atmosphere of these words through sound and image.
The end of a perfect summer day at the lake.
While the lake was calm and the sunset showed off all its beauty, I was surrounded by a swarm of mosquitos and had to resist the constant urge to just run away. This shot being a 30-second long exposure to smoothen out the water did not make it more comfortable either. However, it was very worth to endure and I was overwhelmed with the colors in the sky and their reflection on the lake.
A lake with an Island in Germany. While this lake is part of a nature reserve, there are still many other areas that need additional protection.I am a huge mountain lover and this is why I consciously minted this on International Mountain Day 2021 (December 11, 2021). Mountains cover more than 25% of the earth’s land surface and are key to biodiversity and freshwater resources. They are important to a lot of us, to me personally they definitely are. This is why I think we need to take action to preserve them.
Taking another step into that direction, I will donate 20% of this sale to “BUND Naturschutz”, a German NGO dedicated to preserving nature and protecting the environment.
